Always start by digging for the unique story behind every company or organization

Life at Growth Inc.

You name it, he writes it: blogs, opinion pieces, press releases, books, tweets,…

A strong believer in content as a driver to build and enforce thought leadership.

Develops communication strategies and plans, always starts by digging for the unique story behind every company or organization.

As an incurable news junkie, Jeroen is always on the lookout for opportunities to set the agenda or hijack hot topics.

Life before Growth Inc.

Worked as a journalist for 10 years, for Het Nieuwsblad/De Standaard and De Morgen. Spending countless hours on newspaper desks taught him how to translate complex content into appealing stories, and left him (apart from a severe coffee addiction) with a talent to spot stories where nobody else suspected them. Needless to say that meeting tight deadlines has become a second nature.

After working as a political journalist, curiosity led him behind the scenes of a political party and the policy cell of two Belgian ministers. He acted as ghostwriter and communications advisor, and worked on campaign strategies and implementation.

The last few years, Jeroen worked for communications agencies, developing strategies for different clients: corporate and non-profit, multinationals as well as start-ups.

Life outside of Growth Inc.

Most of his spare time, Jeroen spends playing soccer and building spectacular Lego constructions with his two sons. He loves running, cheering for football club Antwerp (the ‘Great Old’), reading fiction, riding his bike and binge-watching Tour de France-stages. He (co-)published a few non-fiction books and is ‘working’ (at an average speed of 5 pages each year) on his own novel. Lifegoals: get that novel published and run a marathon.

With a combined experience in corporate and political communication, she has the skills and experience to set up comprehensive communication strategies and adds value to corporate identities by creating engaging and clear-cut messages.

She gets the balance between an authentic story and just the right amount of punch to create a buzz for your company.

She doesn’t back away from new challenges or unknown territories because you never lose, you either win or learn something.

Life before Growth Inc.

Graduated Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree in Comparative and International Politics from the KULeuven and a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Antwerp.

She spent her first years as a professional in the commercial and communication departments of international companies where she picked up the do’s and don’ts of corporate and marketing communication and event management, before switching to politics.

As a communication advisor to the Belgian minister of Finance, Johan Van Overtveldt, Margaux experienced the complexity of communicating and being heard in today’s political and social climate. Having worked in such a fast-paced and unpredictable environment she knows never to waste time on problems but to look for solutions instead.

Life outside of Growth Inc.

Margaux shares a passion for music with her partner so they’re often writing music or out enjoying concerts. To feed her curious mind she loves to read and travel (there are too many pages and places for one lifetime, but she’s not a quitter). And yes, a healthy mind needs a healthy body so she always keeps her running shoes close.

After obtaining her Master in EU Studies at the University of Ghent, Mieke obtained her Master in General Management at the Vlerick Business School. Spent her first years dipping her toes in the communication pool at a corporate communication agency and learned how to strategy and plan constructive and proactive all-round communication plans.

She got to know the tricks of the trade at the real estate group Uplace. As marketing and communications responsible for the project, she was constantly at the centre of Belgian media attention. This is how she learned to create and influence stories under high pressure.

Life outside of Growth Inc.

Mieke is a passionate triathlete, easy to seduce with a new challenge (so please, do tempt her with another challenging race). Long bike rides alongside good friends or colleagues are always putting a smile on her face. Wants to be a globetrotter in her spare time, but considers reading, cultural excesses such as concerts, evenings at the theatre and museum visits as a perfect alternative.
